Characteristics
Calluna, commonly known as heather, are evergreen flowering plants offering year-round foliage interest with flowering in late summer and autumn. They are sold in pot sizes suitable for garden centre displays and seasonal planting schemes. The compact, bushy growth makes them ideal for containers, borders, and mixed plantings, whilst their hardy nature suits outdoor garden displays. Calluna flowers in dense spikes and retains foliage colour throughout winter months.
Availability
We source Calluna from Western Europe including The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany with availability from late summer through winter. Currently available in red, green, purple, pink, yellow, mix colour varieties, and mix trays to suit various retail requirements. Check our webshop for current pot sizes and stock levels.
Fun Fact
Calluna can flower for up to three months and retain its colour well into winter, making it one of the longest-performing autumn and winter flowering plants. This extended display period allows garden centres to maintain seasonal colour and customer interest during months when flowering plants are typically limited.
